J.Tay Advocates is a law firm specializing in both litigation and conveyancing, requiring a workspace that reflects professionalism, sophistication, and efficiency. The office space, previously occupied by a bookshop, was in a run-down condition when handed over, presenting a challenge in both functionality and aesthetics.
With a limited floor area, the design had to be highly strategic to incorporate all essential elements, including:
- A meeting room
- Two directors’ rooms
- A general workspace
- A pantry
- A file storage room
- A fully renovated toilet
Despite space constraints, the design was meticulously crafted to ensure that each area was well-integrated, practical, and visually seamless.
A Concept Inspired by Industrial Modernism
The design approach took cues from my own office, which had impressed the client with its raw, contemporary, and minimalist appeal. By incorporating similar elements, I created a law office that feels modern, functional, and inviting.
